Welcome to W.T. Chipman Middle School, home of the Spartans! It is truly an honor to serve as your Head Principal and to continue my journey here in the Lake Forest School District, a community I’ve proudly called home for most of my 14 years in education.

At Chipman, we believe in continuous growth for both our students and staff. Our instructional vision is simple and clear: every student will read, write, speak, and listen in every class, every day. We are committed to cultivating a school culture where academic excellence and positive behavior rise together, creating an environment where all students can thrive.

We know middle school is a time of transition, exploration, and opportunity. That’s why we focus on building strong structures, clear routines, and engaging lessons that challenge our students to think critically while supporting their social and emotional growth.

Our dedicated staff works tirelessly to foster meaningful connections with students and families. Whether through classroom instruction, community events, or partnerships like PBIS, our goal is to ensure every student feels supported, challenged, and inspired.
